ENGINEERING TEAM

William P. Corish, P.E.

Bill has been actively engaged in the practice of mechanical engineering since 1985. After graduating from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, he was employed by Clark-Smith Associates, P.C. as a mechanical engineer and project manager. In 1990, Bill moved to Maine and was employed by Enterprise Engineering, Inc. (EEI) as a Senior Project Engineer. Bill resigned from EEI in 2001 to move back to Virginia and "hang out his shingle" as Corish Engineering.

Bill has performed a leadership engineering role in over 120 study and design projects. Many projects included construction period services such as bid and change order pricing analysis, response to contractor design queries, product submittal review, observation of construction progress, and witnessing of system commissioning.

The "Completed Projects" link on the left panel of this page will direct you to brief descriptions of projects Corish Engineering has completed.

Marc A. Swett, E.I.T.

Marc serve's as Corish Engineering's "executive officer" on most projects, and is responsible for running the Maine office. His duties include managing the day-to-day project team effort, performing detailed design, specification and calculation tasks, and reviewing the work as it progresses. He also assists Bill Corish in researching new engineering/design techniques, products and code requirements as part of our continuing education program.  Marc's project work has included management of operation and maintenance manual and training program efforts for a major aviation fuel facility project, performance of numerous pumping and sprinkler system analyses, performance of our HVAC load and duct system calculations, and review of construction submittals. Marc also plays a major role in our marketing, proposal development and construction cost estimating efforts.

Marc's work experience with Corish Engineering dates back to February of 2003. He accepted a full-time position in October of 2005.

In 1997, Marc earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire. In 1999, he began working with Bill Corish and other engineers in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Enterprise Engineering, Inc. (EEI). While at EEI, Marc performed the bulk of the mechanical engineering tasks on 16 fuel facility projects including storage tank systems, pipeline, tanker, barge, rail, & truck receipt/issue systems, aviation fuel hydrant systems, filtering and additive injection systems, service station dispensing and vapor recovery systems, and fire protection systems. In addition to his design duties at EEI, Marc provided construction observation and commissioning support on many projects, to include development of operation and maintenance manuals. He also authored specifications for a pipeline integrity evaluation using an inline inspection tool (smart pig) and performed piping flexibility and fluid flow analyses (steady state and transient).

Marc has also worked as a technical services engineer and as a field technician for heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) and water well drilling companies. Marc holds an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certificate and is licensed in the State of Maine as a Master Well Driller.
